Poisy dear :D

yes, that's absolutely the case :P . Nevertheless, hearty congrats to the Ukranian team. Their defense is really tough and the team as such is strong, well organized and they stick together. They have been playing a stunning qualification and never lost a game. They are very good and deserve to be the first team in the group.

I am sad about the defeat of the Greek team and the fact that three most important players were not present or were not able to play full 90 minutes surely was one of the causes of the defeat. Anyway, there are still games to play and not everything is lost yet. The pressure though is bigger now and the Greek team will have to be on their guard and give 200% otherwise they won't be able to keep the 2nd position. They're at the 3rd position now.

By the way, the Russians played Germany (in Germany) and managed a good result: 2:2. I'm pleased about this though they didn't win but it's a young team, they are talented, fighting and it's a pleasure to see them on the football ground. Well done guys !!!!!

HI HONEYS !!! :P

I’ve been doing some research and look here’s what I found online.

In our beloved “BEDNAYA NASTYA”, in one of the first episodes, LISA reads a LOVE POEM from a little BOOK that VALODJA gave her as a present when they were still in love with each other. In this scene, Lisa starts reading the poem and then recites it without looking into the book anymore. Well, after she finishes she says to Sonia that this poem is by DENIS VASILEVICH DAVYDOV (1784 – 1839). If you’re interested, here’s an internet address where you can find a little bit of information on this author. By the way, the same site, also says something about VASILY ZHUKOWSKY (you’ll remember him as Sasha’s teacher and friend). Yes, he really existed !!

http://www.abcgallery.com/K/kiprensky/kiprenskybio.html

While watching “BEDNAYA NASTYA”, you surely noticed that a number of RUSSIAN and EUROPEAN WRITERS are mentioned in the series whose work is connected with what happens in the series. So, I tried to find some nice sites where you can find useful and interesting information on the life and work of these authors. Enjoy them !!!

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

Well, I don’t have to say anything about him I guess… I’m sure there are millions of sites about him. It’s far too hard to decide which ones are good. Have a look online (Google e.g) yourselves ladies.

HI JELENA :D

You asked about the connection BN and George Sand. Well, it was when Vladimir and Sasha had this argument about Olga at the ball when the two guys decided to have a duel. In a scene shortly before the duel, Natasha who found out about this duel, went to Olga's room in the palace in order to talk with her about the terrible news. Olga was reading a book but she was not really focused on it (understandably!!). She told Natasha that the author of the book was George Sand.

Hope I was able to help you remember :D  .

ALEXANDER SERGUEEVICH GRIBOYEDOV (1795 – 1829)
there’s small piece of information somewhere in my mind  that A.S. Griboyedov is something of a comedy play writer ..anyway
mentioned by anna while choosing what was she going to read at the audition in theatre(she has just come to Petersburg, left Vladimir, but dreaming of him of course, and the imagination is so vivid that she actually sees Vladimir, and has a dialog with him)
no doubt you know that scene!!!! it is kinda romantic
oreok писал(а): ANTON PAVLOVICH CHEKHOV (1860 – 1904)
well this is one of my favorites
I strongly recommend not only getting to know about his life and work but READING HIS PLAYS they r really essential part of russian literature, and widely recognized as well...
oreok писал(а): (A WORLD OF VLADIMIRS..... )
hehe those vladimirs!!! although vladimir is here one of the most common male names, and I know many vladimirs, because of korf I look at them completely differently, now
