POOR NASTYA
Bednaya Nastya

The story of "Bednaya Nastya" is set in the XIX century and features a whole tangle of various genres: romance, detective, historical drama and whatnot. The main plot of this soap-opera turns around a young and of course beautiful girl named Anna Platonova - a serf that was brought up by her patron Baron Korf who treated her like his own daughter, much to the seeming displeasure of his son Vladimir. Upon entering the High Society and meeting a noble young man Mikhail Repnin Anna doesn't even guess what kind of ordeals her life is going to go through... Love, hatred, betrayal, murder - it all has something to do with the mysterious Nastya that is being looked for during the whole series. But, as it usually happens, this massive 120-eps soap ends well, with love found, evil punished and justice triumphing.

Daniil has done an excellent job in Bednya Nastya

Непрочитанное сообщение Jane »

As Bednya Nastya is now on the show on CCTV channel 8 in China, an increasing number of audience are getting to love the role of Koft and the actor himself. I think Daniil 's performance in this TV series is as excellet as his looking. I don't know if he himself will read this forum, just pls tell him that the TV series, though not closed, has turned out to be a great success in China and he has won a large number of fans here. So far as I know there are many fans looking for DVD or VCD of the TV series.
Best regards.

thanks Jane for keeping us informed!!

Bednaya Nastya was a huge suceess here also and thousands of fans are the best proof of it!!
Do you know that Danya was much involved in the directing process, and lots of scenes were actually his work for the most part? He himself has been developing the character of Korf, and he deserves to get all the appreciation for his great work!!!!

Vladimir+Anna=VovAnna

Непрочитанное сообщение Poisy »

For all new-comers!

Here in Russia (and Ukraine, and Belarus, and so on), we've got this widely recognized term: VovAnna, that stems from Vladimir (Vova)+Anna:)))

Nice, isnt it?

It's absolutely useful for turning into:
VovAnna forever!
Long live VovAnna!
VovAnna rulez, etc

Don't you think?

What ???????? I didn't know that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He has so many talents our honeypie

But.....wait a minute. Please don't tell me that he is responsable for the lack of romantic scenes between Vovanna. Because 'till this day we're sending a lot of negative energy to Bednaya Nastia's director (which we thought that was a woman) . And don't get me started for the 30 seconds finale of the series .......I'm trying to forget it

No no no!!!

Danya and Lena were actually BEGGING the directors to shoot more romantic scenes, but in vain:(((

What I meant was that Danya was helping his character to develop further, he was constantly arguing with the directors here and there...
Unfortunately, romantic scenes were beyond his abilities:(

and dont even get me started on the final 30 minutes.

You know what the final would be according to Danya? (he said this in one of the interview):
To his opinion, Vladimir and Anna could not get married... At least, not that fast... The most probable way of their relations development was to send Vladimir to the Caucasus, let Anna wait, write lovely letters, etc. He'd let them live through their feelings again, and then and only then they could marry. THAT would be a real RUSSIAN end... What we ended up with was just a Hollywood dream... nothing more...

Is it true he is to blame(as if we can blame him for anything  ) for being dressed in that scene when anna comes to his bedroom?
He was supposed to be naked but he insisted to be dressed because that was customary in that time.
ahh

He is, he is to blame for being dressed in that scene, really...
The directors in this case (what a rare moment, oh my!) were insisting to get him undressed, but his arguement were: c'mon guys, this is the 19th century, the lords were not supposed to come to bed bare naked, dont mess up the historical facts!

ahhhhhhrrrggg...

as if directors were not messing up the customs in other scenes!!!!!!!!

heh heh, but we did see him a bit undressed in the morning when he woke up with Olga in his bed, remember?
heh heh

he's done an amasing job, yes... but, with how many women has he actually been in BN? Polina, Lisa.. Olga.... and he hasn't even properly kissed the love of his life - Anna?????? Isn't that insane?
And he wanted thew historical facts to be used properly... hello???? Can anyone - exept in a chopper or a plane get from Poland to St. Petersburg in half a day? Why didn't he complain about that... no, no, no .. he complained about some "naked" scenes

Yup - in Russian Vova = Volodya = Vladimir is familiar variant of Vladimir, like in English Richard = Dick, Michaele = Mike, etc;)
